If you need a few fun St. Patricks Day facts to share, here is some interesting information that you can share with your students on March 17th: People first started celebrating St. Patricks day on the 17th of March in the year 1631 when the church first established a feast day for Saint Patricius (or Patrick)—the patron saint of Ireland. It wasn’t until the Irish Rebellion of 1798 that the color green was used as a symbol of St Patrick (along with the shamrock, which signifies good luck and good fortune).
